Interpreting

Atlantis Translation Center offers CONSECUTIVE and SIMULTANEOUS interpretation services for meetings, negotiations, workshops, exhibitions, and presentations.

Consecutive interpretation is a most popular and frequently ordered type of interpretation. Interpreter uses logical breaks in the speech to interpret speaker’s words in a language understood by an audience. As usual, consecutive interpretation is used to serve relatively small number of event participants, but it is suitable for any meeting conditions, including outdoor negotiations because it does not require any equipment.

Simultaneous interpretation is ordered at large events with significant number of participants, as well as when it comes to interpreting FROM or INTO several languages. Interpretation is performed simultaneously with the speech and requires special equipment for listeners and interpreters, including headphones.
Simultaneous interpretation costs depend on the equipment type. We offer various kinds of interpretation equipment to meet tasks of the event, its size, as well as requirements of our customers.  Starting from classical booths for 2 interpreters and ending with light-weight portable radio equipment.

Expertise, experience, and knowledge of the interpretation subject area are primary factors when it comes to selecting an interpreter. That is why we suggest the experts who are not only fluent in the target language and have the necessary knowledge or expertise, but also have in-depth knowledge of etiquette and various event specifics.

Common knowledge and experience in the respective subject area are not enough to provide high quality interpretation. Interpreter should get familiar with the requirements of the customer’s company and their specific terminology beforehand. That is why we encourage our customers to submit any useful reference materials such as glossaries, text samples, and product presentations.
